Sabine is experienced and specializes in caring for the more mature and older dogs to include administering medications and injections as instructed by the owner. Her background in nursing for human clients combined with her experience caring for dogs makes her the perfect fit. She has been living with large dogs all of her life. Her dogs were always rescues, and she understands how to keep a stress-free environment for dogs who do better in a low-key situation. Over the years her own dogs included breeds such as Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Labradors, Rottweilers, and Doberman. She will accept all breeds and sizes age 2 years or older. Sabine sends daily updates and pictures while you are away so that you will always know how your pup is doing.
During overnight stays Sabine will also bring in the mail, set the garbage cans out by the curb, and water your plants.

We just boarded our dog for the very first time and she had an exceptional experience thanks to Sabine. I don't even like to use the term "boarded", it really was a doggie vacation! We talked to a number of sitters, trying to find the best fit for our 6 1/2 year old dog, Kylie. Kylie enjoys other dogs that are calm and gentle but gets stressed and nervous with dogs that jump, wrestle, etc. We are so grateful we found Sabine and her quiet doggie retreat! She is very careful about the boarders she will put together to ensure it is a compatible and enjoyable time for all. My husband and I were so relieved to find Sabine on such short notice. Sabine was very quick to respond to all our emails and when we arrived with Charlie, she was warm and welcoming and you can instantly tell she truly loves dogs. She made us all, including Charlie, feel at ease. During Charlie's 24 hour stay, Sabine sent 2 email updates with pictures. When we we pick up our boy he was his normal, happy self. Sabine really charmed our two dogs. They seem quite pleased when we've gone to her place - that's not always been the case when we've boarded them elsewhere. Sabine was a great host and we recommend her highly. She communicated with us daily including pics of Riley our goldendoodle. She was diligent about giving Riley his twice daily seizure meds and Riley was happy and well when we picked him up. She even allowed Riley to sleep in her bed!! (shame on you Riley). We definitely plan to use Sabine again the next time we travel. A very satisfying experience.

Our two dogs had a great Vacay with Sabine and we are thrilled that we found her! She kept us informed and took wonderful care or our dogs, as if they were her own! We feel confident that we have found someone who we can trust in their care and that she genuinely loves caring for animals in her home! Our 15 year old girl needed medications twice daily as well as some increased attention due to her age and some physical limitations and Sabine knows just how to care for her. My 8-year-old golden retriever loves people and does NOT like to be left alone. A temporary health condition made it prudent to keep him quarantined away from other dogs. Sabine came to my home each day often enough to keep him happy and well-adjusted, spending considerable time sitting with him, hugging and petting him, talking to him, and keeping him certain that people were around him. That's in addition to feeding and walking him. When I returned from my trip, I found a happy dog who looked as if he would say, "Oh. You're back already. Time went by so fast!" Sabine's understanding of a dog's social needs and her constant, attentive nurturing will make you wish you were a dog, too, so you could enjoy her care!

Our dog Kiwi is pretty shy and nervous but Sabine was great with her! Having Kiwi in a home environment made her so much more comfortable and she even ate regularly which has always been a problem when we've left her at a large kennels in the past. I highly recommend Sabine to anyone needing a great dog sitter. She has watched our labrador twice now and both times he has returned tired and happy from playing. Sabine has a great yard to run around in, lets him nap on her couch, plays ball with him and has a genuine affection for dogs. Dogs can't talk but this weekend when we left him for the second time with Sabine, Charlie raced out of the car as soon as we pulled up and made a beeline for her house, running around with his tail wagging endlessly, clearly happy to be back for his own little vacation while we went on ours!
Every interaction with Sabine expresses her deep caring and love of dogs. She has been part of our extended family for 5 years now taking tremendous care of our 15 year old fur baby Finnigan. She has provided excellent care and incredible support as his medical needs and general health have become more demanding over the years. She is a welcome part of Finnigan's pack, and I wouldn't hesitate to leave him in her capable care. She treasures our dog like a member of her own family, nothing could give me greater peace of mind.
